Red Cross of Massachusetts – Boston Heroes Breakfast 2024
Charles River Media was proud to provide video production and studio services, as well as custom graphics, for the second year in a row for the 2024 Boston Heroes Breakfast. Hosted by the American Red Cross of Massachusetts, this event awards individuals who have demonstrated incredible acts of service in their communities. CRMi created short documentaries for each of the honorees, capturing their inspiring acts of services.
A few of the documentaries we produced spotlighted these heroes: Brigadier General Enoch “Woody” Woodhouse, Jr., Susan Baur, the Mayflower Beach Lifeguard Team, and Lilly Campbell.
- Brigadier General Enoch “Woody” Woodhouse, is a WWII veteran who served with the Tuskegee Airmen. A former Boston police commissioner and a retired US Army Brigadier General joined us in our studio to tell the story of Woody. We filmed in-depth interviews with both individuals, incorporating Red Cross props into our studio set.
- For the climate resilience hero, Susan Baur, founder of the Old Ladies Against Underwater Garbage, our team traveled to Chatham, MA. CRMi filmed interviews and captured b-roll on site to highlight the work of this incredible organization.
- The Mayflower Beach Lifeguard Team won the Emergency Professional Heroes award. For this production, our team interviewed these heroes both in person and over Zoom. CRMi also filmed b-roll at Mayflower Beach where their heroic act took place.
- Lilly Campbell, recipient of the youth hero award and founder of Better Beads, brought awareness to sickle cell disease by selling homemade bracelets. To tell Lilly’s story, our team went to a blood drive and interviewed both her and her mom. CRMi also filmed b-roll highlighting Lilly’s bracelets and their impact.
Congrats to all the heroes for their dedication to serving their communities!
