Zeiss: 3D Spatial Biology Production at Harvard Medical School
Charles River Media produced a customer story video for ZEISS Microscopy, filmed on location at Harvard Medical School’s Laboratory of Systems Pharmacology (LSP). The LSP is a research group that combines imaging, computation, and clinical collaboration to study human disease.
At the LSP, Director of Microscopy & Computer Vision Clarence Yapp and his colleagues are extending cyclic immunofluorescence (CyCIF) into thick tissue, imaging whole cells in 3D at 50-plex. Traditional thin tissue sections fragment cells and hide how immune and tumor cells truly interact. Seeing intact cell shapes and membrane contacts in human tissue is changing what researchers can learn from a single specimen.
Our team conducted interviews with the LSP researchers and produced the finished video in the lab, capturing the people and the microscopy workflow behind the science. Translating this technical work into a clear, engaging story for a global scientific audience was a rewarding challenge, and we were thrilled to help ZEISS share it.
Thank you to ZEISS Microscopy and the team at the LSP for welcoming us into the lab and trusting us with such important research.
