Paul Rudd is Hasty Pudding’s 2018 Man of the Year! The “Ant-man” star charmed the crowd as he was roasted onstage at the historic Farkas Hall. From jokes about his seemingly ageless appearance, to his children hopefully getting accepted into Harvard in the future (“hopefully grades won’t matter”, as Paul said), it was a night our crew was happy to be a part of! For more laughs, check out our highlights!

Charles River Media Group was honored and thrilled to yet again have the opportunity to film the 2018 Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year in which the beautiful Mila Kunis received the coveted Pudding Pot! Although the temperature outside was frosty, we had a blast shooting Mila parade through Harvard Square before she entered Farkas Hall to be roasted onstage by the Harvard undergrads. We also managed to live-stream her Q&A press conference and capture a quick interview with her as well! Check out our highlights!

TEDx Cambridge Fall 2017

Charles River Media Group has been working with TEDx Cambridge for over four years. We have assisted in pre-production and post-production for over a dozen TEDx Cambridge events, including their yearly Spring and Fall conferences, which typically feature six diverse speakers, presentations, and a live artistic performance.

Last week’s TedX Cambridge Fall 2017 live event was no different! We aided with the pre-production process and helped establish a quick turnaround deadline in order for the videos to be available for online viewing.

The day after the event, CRMG received a hard drive with over 1TB of multi-cam footage. Over the course of two days, our editors worked to finesse the videos, adding intro and outro video elements, music, audio definition, presentation slides and videos, and – most importantly – seamless camera transitions.

After meeting with the TEDx Cambridge organizers to review our drafts, we spent the day making some last minute tweaks and exported the final files. All within one week of filming!

And don’t forget to check out our Live Events & Webcasting Page for more information on how to hire us for your next live event! We will work with you every step of the way from pre-production all the way through final video delivery. Just ask TEDx Cambridge!

Mass Gaming Commission Live

This past Thursday, CRMG and Sonic Pixel Media teamed up to live stream a meeting between the Massachusetts Gaming Commission and MGM Springfield regarding their casino project.

Camera crews arrived in Springfield, MA the night before to scope out the area and begin setting up, since filming began around 7AM the next day. We had three cameras and operators, an audio engineer, and a live stream switcher/director on location.

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission contacted Charles River Media Group over a year ago to begin planning this project, given that it was a complicated setup and scheduling on their end had to be established significantly in advance. We were more than happy to work with them early on, which allowed for us to confirm that we had the necessary equipment for not only live streaming, but also to allow large online audiences to view the footage without delays or glitches.

We look forward to continuing our work the the Massachusetts Gaming Commission! For more information on CRMG’s live streaming services, check out our Live Events & Webcasting Page.

Interview with Don on BostonVoyager!

Our very own Don Schechter was interviewed by the people at BostonVoyager about Charles River Media Group and Pizza Baby Films. Don outlined his experience leading up to the creation of CRMG. He also provided some insight into his personal and professional goals for his companies.

When asked about our collaborative work environment, Don said, “We are proud that our work has been seen on TV, in theaters, in corporate boardrooms, trade shows, and across the web. What sets us apart is our flexibility. Most “traditional” production companies are offices, perhaps with a full time producer and maybe an editor – and, depending on the work that comes in, they go out and rent equipment, rent a studio, hire crew, etc. From the start, we wanted to be more than that so we’re proud to own a ton of gear, have a production studio, editing suites as well as have the flexibility to scale based on our workload and the demands of any given project. Over the years we have created a real solid “bench” of professionals who enjoy working together.”

TBT Summer 2016 – Fenway First Pitch

A year ago, Charles River Media Group got the chance of a lifetime! The CEO of one of our pharmaceutical clients, threw out the first pitch at a Red Sox game at Fenway. CRMG had four cameras on the field to catch “instant replay” angles of the pitch.

CRMG has been working with this client for the past three years. They have made great strides to provide the best and healthiest treatments to all who need it. The first pitch was caught by a man who was paralyzed from the waist-down after an accident. He was the first recipient of a treatment developed by the company, and is now on the road to recovery!

It was so fun to be out on the field at the historic Fenway!

Mobius Executive Leadership Conference

Last week was a whirlwind for CRMG! We filmed talks, keynotes, interviews, group sessions, and some beautiful nature b-roll over the course of 5 days last week.

Mobius Executive Leadership had contacted us about a year ago to begin planning such a large undertaking. We ended up capturing a whopping 1.8TB of footage with three FS7s, one FS 100, one FS5, and a drone!

We have a relatively quick deadline in terms of post-production, but so we got right to work on the multi-cam edits, the interviews, and highlight videos this week!

To find out more about our corporate work, go to this page. We have worked with countless companies on everything from live streams and conferences to event highlights and photography, as well as corportate culture pieces and year-in-review videos.

Rockstar Catering // 84 Lumber

Rockstar Catering, a company based in Florida, contacted CRMG a few weeks ago to cover a series of events they were hosting in Massachusetts. Over the course of last weekend, CRMG filmed a ribbon cutting ceremony, a cocktail party, a casino night, and a public grand opening, all at 84 Lumber’s brand new location in Holbrook, MA. With just a few days to turn around the highlight reel, CRMG worked to find the right music and cut together as many clips as possible to cover the various events.
